Obituary for Kenneth "Skip" Hubbard

Kenneth “Skip” Hubbard 1963-2016
Boonville

Kenneth “Skip” Hubbard, 53, passed away unexpectedly on August 29, 2016. He was born on January 20 1963 in Utica, a son of George E. and Norma Williamson Hubbard and received his education in Sauquoit schools.
Skip served with the U.S. Army from 1981 until 1983.
His love of fishing and his job at the Waters Edge Resort in Old Forge were a perfect match as he was able to drop a line while at work, checking it periodically to see if there was a fish on the other end.
Although Skip never had any children of his own, he considered his many nieces and nephews his children.
Skip is survived by his mother and stepfather, Norma and Gerry Bowers, his sisters, Katherine Porter and Karen Bowers, his brothers, Mark Hubbard and Elton Bowers, his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Dygert, Mindy Porter, Douglas Porter, Tracie Bowers, Amanda Farr, Jessica Leary and Kayla Hubbard and his great-nieces and nephews, Thomas, Theoryn, Robinson, Aedan, Maddison, Ashleigh, Zavior, Jenna, Lucas and Wyatt.
He was predeceased by his father, George Hubbard and his brothers, George and Dale Hubbard.
Relatives and friends are invited to join his family in celebrating Skip’s life on Sunday, September 4th from 3-6 at E.L. Clonan Post 1000 3454 Oneida St., Chadwicks.
