Sandra L. Critelli 1937-2017

Sandra L. Critelli, 79, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the Abraham House with her loving family at her side.
She was born in Utica, NY on June 10, 1937, a daughter of the late Emile J. and Bertha Wisnoski Richer and received her education in Sauquoit schools where she graduated Salutatorian of the Class of 1955.
On May 10, 1958 she was united in marriage with Robert Critelli, a loving union of 55 years until his death on November 24, 2013.
Sandra was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose main calling in life was the caring for her family.
She was a faithful communicant of St. Thomas Church in New Hartford
Sandra is survived by her two daughters and sons-in law, Corrine and Troy Bishopp of Deansboro and Cheryl and Dean Tibbitts of Clayville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert, Jr. and Donna Critelli and Stephen and Patricia Critelli all of Sauquoit and Michael and Dina Critelli of Camden; her grandchildren, Sarah and Carlos Garcia, Lindsay and Travis Owens, Katie Bishopp, Christopher Tibbitts and Erica Roberts, Rebecca and Greg Calidonna, Ryan Critelli and Colleen Berenstein, Samantha Critelli and Tyler Stoddard, Audrea Critelli-Norton, Stephanie and Mark Locke, Nicholas Critelli, Matthew Critelli, Shane Critelli, and Justin Critelli and her sisters and brother in law; Linda and Frank Carnavele of FL. and Dr. Michaleen Richer of CO. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren with two more on the way, her sister in law; Connie Critelli, her brother in law; Ronald and Dolores Critelli and many nieces and nephews.
Sandra’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:00 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 150 Clinton Rd., New Hartford. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery in Clayville at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be on Thursday afternoon from 4-6 at the Smith Funeral Home, 3022 Oneida St. Sauquoit.

Her family would like to thank the volunteers at the Abraham House, Dr. Kirschner and his staff at Hematology/Oncology Associates of CNY, the nurses at Hospice and Palliative Care, especially Lisa Alteri as well as Jessica Critelli and Yvonne Wiater for all of their care and compassion during Sandra’s illness.
