Anna F. LaVair 1940-2017

Anna F. LaVair, 77, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2017 at the Waterville Residential Care Center with her loving family at her side.
She was born on August 24, 1940 in Syracuse, N.Y., a daughter of the late Leonard and Myrtle Yerdon Moorehouse and received her education in Syracuse and Sanfordville schools.
On May 24, 1957 Anna was united in marriage with Kenneth LaVair in Potsdam, New York.
In addition to raising her family, Anna helped on the family farm, worked at the Ponderosa Steak House and in Food Service at Hamilton College.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Ken, her daughters; Brenda and Tom King, Bonita Austin, Marlene and Robert Masca, Nancy Irizarry and Jennifer and Jim Yaddow II, her sons; Christopher LaVair and Timothy LaVair, 18 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her 11 brothers and sisters.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 2-4 at the Smith Funeral Home, 3022 Oneida St. Sauquoit with services immediately following at 4:00.
Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Brasher Falls, N.Y. at the convenience of the family.
